Michael Burns, Attorney at Law

Mr. Burns currently represents small and large businesses, banking and lending institutions in the areas of foreclosure, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, and eviction matters for the States of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Mr. Burns also serves as the Fee Attorney for a Texas title company with the capacity to issue state-wide title products and title insurance policies, with underwriters such as Lawyers Title Insurance (a subsidiary of Fidelity National Title Insurance), Title Resources Guaranty, Old Republic National Title, Alliant National Title Insurance, as well as handle the closing transactions of the REO properties upon conclusion of the foreclosure. Mr. Burns’ focus is on overall timeline compliance and investor satisfaction. Offering “cradle to grave” service, Mr. Burns provides his clients the complete default servicing operation. This level of service is most appreciated when title issues are present and resolution of same is needed promptly to avoid costly delays.

Having served as General Counsel for a federal savings bank and Assistant General Counsel for a Fortune 500 consumer finance company, Mr. Burns’ offers a well-qualified perspective on default servicing - a perspective frequently sought after by local and national media outlets for his expertise on matters concerning the mortgage industry. His professional experience also includes a number of years as Senior Counsel for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Mr. Anderson personally manages his foreclosure, bankruptcy and eviction units to ensure strict guidelines and investor expectations are being followed. As a former Senior Counsel for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for nine years, Mr. Anderson understands the complexities of commercial and banking litigation and takes every step possible to ensure our clients are well-versed in making sound business decisions.

Ray L. Vela, Attorney at Law

Mr. Vela has represented lenders with litigation matters in both federal and state courts throughout Texas and Oklahoma. His practice includes, but is not limited to, foreclosure litigation, eviction appeal litigation, collection litigation, creditor and consumer law cases, contract disputes, intellectual property law, and real estate litigation.

As the firm concentrates on moving the cases, Mr. Vela’s litigation unit stands ready to promptly step in and address matters requiring civil or federal action or response. With his considerable litigation expertise, Mr. Vela works diligently to resolve disputes. While his ultimate goal is to avoid litigation, he is well-prepared to handle whatever comes his way. He is focused and meticulous with detail and aggressive in his stance to get the job completed quickly and accurately. “A litigation matter that sits, costs money!” he says.
